A new year and a new head office for the British Liver Trust

Posted on: 5th January 2022

Hello and happy new year.

At the British Liver Trust, we’re welcoming the new year with a fresh start and a new home, as we move to our new head office in Winchester.

The move will allow us to accelerate the progress we make as part of the charity’s new three-year strategy, which includes campaigning for policy changes for better liver health, and driving up standards of care for people with liver disease. To do this, we will tighten our links with other organisations. This will include working with other charities, patient groups, and liver experts through the newly formed UK Liver Alliance so that we can coordinate our efforts and campaign more effectively.

With this in mind, we decided to relocate our head office to Winchester. The city is more accessible to other parts of the UK than our previous office in Bournemouth, whilst still enabling our existing staff to travel to the new office. We also hope our new base will have a positive effect on the charity’s profile and ability to recruit.

Like many other organisations, we are also adopting a hybrid working strategy. We will be coming to the new office for collaborative working, whilst ‘getting our heads down’ at home when we want to be quietly productive. Of course, as a national charity, we also have colleagues based in many other parts of the UK, and they will continue their valuable work supporting people with liver disease from there.

For more information about how to reach us at our new address, please see the Contact Us pages of our website. I’m very excited about what the future holds for the British Liver Trust. I really do believe that this move is best for the charity as a whole as it grows and develops into the national charity that it needs to be.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2022.
