We are the UK’s leading liver health charity, providing expert comment, evidence, patient insight and lived experience on the issues shaping liver health today. Whether you’re covering prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, transplantation, research, stigma or patient care, we’re here to help journalists tell accurate, impactful stories.

About liver disease

Liver disease is one of the UK’s fastest growing causes of premature death, yet it remains one of the most overlooked and misunderstood health conditions.

It affects people of every age from babies born with rare liver diseases and children and young people living with lifelong liver conditions, to adults affected by liver disease and liver cancer. It also includes people whose lives have been transformed by liver transplantation, and those still waiting for one.
