“It was very well organised, with loads of encouragement and support along the way. I took on two events to raise money for The British Liver Trust and thoroughly enjoyed the experience” – Ben, picture above.Find out more
Fancy a Wee Wander? Perhaps you want a Big Stroll, or maybe take on the Mighty Stride? There’s a distance to suit every level in the Kiltwalk series ranging from 5 miles to a full marathon distance. Take part in either the Virtual Kiltwalk Weekend at the end of April or Kiltwalk Glasgow on Sunday 29th August, and your fundraising will be topped up with a 50% donation by Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation – so if you raise £100, we receive £150!
Virtual 500km Challenge
In 2021, why not challenge yourself to run, walk and/or cycle a minimum of 500 km? The distance can be achieved with any discipline and made up of more than one! Submit your challenge via Virtual Runner and you will receive a medal and a place on the participants table. 20% of your entry fee will be donated to the British Liver Trust, and any fundraising you do on top will go towards our support services and campaigning work.
Charity Travel and Trek - UK Charity Challenges
With the uncertainty over travelling overseas, our challenge partner Charity Travel and Trek have organised some UK based challenges in some great locations – you don’t have to get on a plane to discover somewhere beautiful!
It’s a wonderful experience seeing the sunrise in the east over Snowdonia, and what better place to be than the summit of Snowdon itself. You could be walking up under a blanket of stars, or in the mist(!) such is this challenge! Snowdon’s weather is unpredictable and may certainly add to the challenge.
Self Fund – £125 per person. £25 deposit + £100 balance 4 weeks prior to departure. Raise as much as you can for the British Liver Trust.
Sponsored – £25 deposit + £200 min fundraising target. Target to be reached 4 weeks prior to departure.
Take on this great 3-in-1 challenge as you cycle out from the start (approx 1 hr ride, primarily off-road), switch to feet for the climb of Snowdon (up the Ranger route, down the Watkins) before getting aboard the canoes to paddle a circuit of Llyn Dinas. The transitions are seamless (no vehicle transfers) so it might feel like a triathlon, but it’s NOT a race! You will be led all the way with safety personnel accompanying you.
April, June and July 2021.
