Register interest in attending a virtual liver support group

Posted on: 11th May 2020

We have been trialling the delivery of our support groups in Scotland via the online platform Zoom. These have been very popular as an alternative to the face-to-face meetings that cannot take place at present.

This is a difficult time for patients with liver disease – and their families and carers – and so we want to increase the number of support sessions that we are running and reach people across the UK.

The sessions last around 45 minutes, and are led by one of the British Liver Trust support group facilitators. We know that many people benefit from having  social interaction with others in a similar position to them. You can join a session to have a chat about how you are feeling and coping.

Please remember that we can’t answer clinical queries or provide direct medical advice during these sessions, but our nurse-led helpline is available if you want to speak to someone in more detail.

If you would be interested in taking part in a group, please register your interest using the form below to enable us to understand the demand and plan the launch of additional groups.

Once you have submitted this form, we will send a confirmation that we have received your form. You will then be emailed when groups are being held and be asked to register to attend.
