New Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) Guidelines

Posted on: 5th August 2019

New clinical guidelines on the diagnosis and management of PSC have been published in the British Medical Journal. These comprehensive, up-to-date guidelines were commissioned by the British Society of Gastroenterology and have been developed with patients.

The guidelines aim to support general physicians, gastroenterologists and surgeons in managing adults with PSC or those presenting with similar cholangiopathies which may mimic PSC, such as IgG4 sclerosing cholangitis.

They can also be used as a reference for patients with PSC to help them understand their own management.
