National Liver Offering Scheme (NLOS) online focus group

In 2018, NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) introduced a new way of matching livers from deceased donors to adult patients on the liver transplant waiting list. The National Liver Offering Scheme (NLOS) matches livers nationally rather than regionally, aiming to allocate the organ to the patient most likely to benefit.

Since its implementation, a monitoring committee, has met regularly to assess the scheme’s impact on patients.

The purpose of these focus group(s) is to better understand what’s important to patients waiting for liver transplants, those who have received a liver transplant, and their families. This feedback will help ensure the allocation system continues to prioritise patient needs effectively.

There will be two separate focus groups, taking place on of the following dates:

  • 26th March 2025 at 6pm
  • 27th March 2025 at 6pm

If selected, you will be invited to attend one of the dates above but please only fill out the form if you are free on both dates.
