The British Liver Trust’s mobile scanning unit is available for community testing and awareness-raising events

Whether you are planning surveillance or community liver health events, the British Liver Trust’s mobile scanning unit is available for hire. With two full-size scanning rooms and a third room which can be used for testing or consultations, the unit can help you increase awareness of the risks of liver disease and identify those who may have advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis.

Working in partnership with ODN and Health Board teams the British Liver Trust has used the mobile unit to deliver community events aimed at finding people with undiagnosed advanced liver damage and bringing them into clinical pathways for assessment, treatment and surveillance.

The mobile unit also hosts the Trust’s highly successful Love Your Liver roadshows nationwide which help improve people’s knowledge of liver health risk factors and find those at risk who would not otherwise have been aware.
