Annual Report and Accounts
Our Annual Report and Accounts reviews our performance and highlights the work that we’ve undertaken to meet our aims and objectives.
This has been a landmark year – our first full year as a unified organisation following the merger of the British Liver Trust and Children’s Liver Disease Foundation on 1 April 2024. Together, we’re building a stronger, united voice for people of all ages affected by liver disease.
Our support services continue to grow, with expanded information resources, more online and face-to-face support groups and new digital communities for young people. Our nurse-led helpline has gone from strength to strength, supporting more people than ever before.
We continue to focus on improving early diagnosis across all age groups. Our Yellow Alert campaign is raising vital awareness of liver disease in infants, while our policy and advocacy work is driving improvements in liver disease care pathways nationwide.
Our Love Your Liver roadshow visited 26 locations this year, delivering free liver scans and essential health information. We also grew our corporate partnerships and unit hire programme.
Our political influence continues to grow. We launched the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Liver Disease and Liver Cancer and contributed to the first-ever parliamentary debate on health inequalities in liver disease. Public awareness of liver health is also growing, strengthened by our collaborations with researchers on two high-profile BBC programmes – Panorama and Eastenders – which brought liver disease into the national spotlight.
Despite the progress we’ve made, there is still much to do. That’s why we’re now shaping our new strategy for 2026-2030 – to drive change, accelerate progress, and improve the lives of everyone affected by liver disease and liver cancer.
