Entry Forms and Fees
a. Each Guaranteed Participant must pay a non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee (and any applicable VAT) (the “Registration Fee”) to the British Liver Trust prior to participation in the Event.
b. Selection as a Guaranteed Participant is subject to the payment of the Registration Fee.
Sponsorship target
Please note, if you are offered a British Liver Trust/Children’s Liver Disease Foundation London Marathon place, you are committing to raise a minimum of £2,500 in sponsorship (not including Gift Aid).
At least £750 must be raised by three months before the event, i.e. 25th January 2027
At least £1,000 must be raised by two months before the event, i.e. 21st February 2027
The remaining £750 will be due not later than one month after, i.e. 23rd May 2027
If the first fundraising target is not achieved, the charity reserves the right to withdraw the allocated place/s.

THE BRITISH LIVER TRUST/CHILDREN’S LIVER DISEASE CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO THE TCS LONDON MARATHON (THE ‘EVENT’)
- You enter the TCS London Marathon entirely at your own risk and the charity is not liable for any injury or loss which you may suffer or incur as a result of your participation in this event, or such injury or loss is incurred as a result of British Liver Trust’s negligence.
- The charity takes all reasonable steps to minimise the risk of injury to participants during fundraising events. There is a stringent risk assessment process in place for each event. However, by taking part in the TCS London Marathon, you acknowledge that there may be conditions or circumstances which are beyond our control, and which can lead to unforeseen risks. If you have any concerns or queries, please contact TCS London Marathon before agreeing to take part in this event.
- You must abide by the rules, instructions and regulations provided by TCS London Marathon and contracted agencies, officials and police.
- If you are unsure of your physical ability to take part, you should take appropriate medical advice prior to the event. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit to participate, and it is extremely important that you are realistic and truthful about your capabilities and level of experience.
- You agree to raise a total amount, by sponsorship, of not less than £2,500. This sponsorship amount of £2,500 is excluding Gift Aid and the full amount must be paid to British Liver Trust not later than 23rd May 2027.
- If you withdraw you must notify us by email: fundraising@britishlivertrust.org.uk. If you do have to withdraw and you have already started raising sponsorship money, the charity will endeavour to roll over your place to the next year’s event but is under no obligation to do so. If your place does get rolled over to the following year you will need to commit to those entry and sponsorship requirements, which may have changed from these. If you have to withdraw, the charity is under no obligation to return donations already made.
- You must pass onto British Liver Trust/Children’s Liver Disease all monies raised in connection with the event. You can:
- Encourage people to donate to you via the British Liver Trust website.
- Call us on 01425 481320 with your credit or debit card details
- Send cheques made payable to ‘British Liver Trust’, to Venta Court, 20 Jewry Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 8FE
- The charity is unable to accept any sponsorship money on the day of the event.
- You must be a minimum of 18 years of age on race day to participate in this event and you may be asked to provide identification at the event.
- Spectators, including your supporters and family members, watch the event entirely at their own risk and the charity shall not be liable for any injury or loss which a spectator might suffer or incur, or such injury or loss is caused by The British Liver Trust/Children’s Liver Disease Foundation’s negligence.
- All transfers to and from the venue are at your own expense.
- The British Liver Trust is a member of the Fundraising Standards Board and is committed to the highest levels of fundraising practice. - By taking part, you confirm that you are happy for your name and any footage or photographs taken during your participation in the TCS London Marathon to be used to publicise the charity’s work, including television broadcasts.
- In fundraising for British Liver Trust/Children’s Liver Disease Foundation you agree:
- To submit at the end of your fundraising all used and unused paper sponsor forms
- To only reproduce the charity logos with permission
- Not to collect in a public place without first obtaining the appropriate collector’s license from the local authority
- Not to raise funds by carrying out house-to-house collections
- Not to do anything to bring the charity’s names into disrepute
- To keep the British Liver Trust informed of any changes to your contact details
