Invite your MP to our Parliamentary debate
We need your help. Please contact your local MP to ask them to speak at our parliamentary debate on fatty liver disease on Tuesday the 28th of October at 9:30am in Westminster Hall. Together, we can ensure the voices of people affected by liver disease and liver cancer are heard at Westminster.
The debate will be an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of liver disease in Parliament and with the Government. It will examine the significant increase in fatty liver disease, also know as MASLD (Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease), over the last two decades – which affects approximately 1 in 5 people in the UK. The debate seeks to distil the policy options and recommendations for government to address prevention, early detection and critically ensure the NHS is “patient ready” to deliver the new generation of medications to treat fatty liver disease, which will be available in the near future.
The debate will be broadcast live and available in archive at Parliamentlive.tv – Commons.
With your support, we can maximise the number of MPs attending from every political party across the UK and help ensure the voices of people affected by liver disease and liver cancer are amplified at Westminster.
Please do get in touch with your local MP to let them know about the debate and encourage them to attend. It’s easy to find their contact details and send them an email.
