Do you live with hepatitis B and want to make the way it is diagnosed, monitored, and treated in the UK better for patients?
The British Liver Trust are working with researchers and clinicians to design a research project that will improve people’s experiences of care for hepatitis B. The first stage of the project is to talk to people living with hepatitis B and find out what problems you face and what would help make things better. Your views will help the research team decide what their project should be about and what ideas they could test out.
Can I take part?
Yes, if you are over 18 years old, live in the UK, and have a long-lasting (chronic) hepatitis B infection. You don’t need to have British citizenship to take part in the research.
We would like to include a wide range of people and are especially interested in talking to people who have migrated to the UK. You don’t need any experience of research.
What will I need to do?
The focus group will take place on Monday 12th June from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The meeting will take place on Zoom. Support is available if you are not familiar with online meetings, and you can phone in instead if you prefer. You will be given vouchers in payment for your time and contribution.
We will ask you to share your experiences and your views on the problems people with hepatitis B face. We would also like to hear your views on the ideas we have and how helpful they would be for you.
