About the role
The British Liver Trust is the leading UK charity for adults at risk of or affected by liver disease or liver cancer. Liver disease is a silent killer and is on the increase, with late or missed diagnosis leading to avoidable deaths. There is a lack of awareness and understanding of the range and causes of liver conditions, which needs to change. The charity is growing, but needs to be much, much bigger to tackle this crisis.
About you - As Senior Communications Officer, you will produce powerful integrated communications across various channels to key British Liver Trust audiences, including patients, healthcare professionals, people at-risk, supporters, and staff.
You will reactively respond to media enquiries on wide-ranging topics relating to liver disease and liver cancer, delivering prompt and appropriate communications. These will include media statements, media briefings, messages for the website and social media channels.
Working as part of a team, you will also work on specific communication projects across all areas of the charity which will raise awareness and understanding of liver disease, liver cancer and the British Liver Trust, growing our influence and encouraging people to support us.
